Collection after every Holy Mass
As informed in a statement by the Polish Bishops’ Conference, collections are to be held after every Sunday Holy Mass. The collected funds will be transferred to the victims through Caritas Polska. The KEP reminds that some dioceses have already decided to conduct a collection for aid to Ukraine at a different time.
Appeal of Leo XIV
Appealing for aid for Ukrainians in the face of the suffering of the population caused by the war and exacerbated by the harsh winter, the President of the KEP also recalled the words of the Holy Father Leo XIV, spoken during the general audience on Wednesday, February 4 this year: “I express gratitude for the solidarity initiatives undertaken in Catholic dioceses in Poland and other countries, which strive to help the population survive this period of great frosts.”
