For many, the new year is a time to take care of their health and physical activity. However, it turns out that many of us choose the comfort of our homes instead of the gym. This is confirmed by OLX data – in January 2026, the number of active users in the Fitness category increased by approximately 30% month-over-month. This is even more evident in engagement: during the same period, the number of interactions with ads (e.g., responses or revealing a phone number) increased by approximately 20%. This trend remains strong, best evidenced by data indicating growing interest in home fitness equipment in February. Treadmills were the most popular during this period, with the number of searches increasing by over 45% year-over-year. Dumbbells enjoyed the same level of buyer interest. Training benches took third place on this podium, with a nearly 14% increase (YoY).
Home gym – what fitness equipment Poles are most often looking for
Creating a home workout zone is a significant challenge, as when it comes to equipping it, the ease of assembly and storage is just as important as the functionality of the equipment. This is also a factor that can determine the decisions of people looking for home workout equipment. However, when we look at the phrases most frequently entered by OLX users in February, the conclusion is clear — home exercise zones are starting to professionalize. Alongside the most popular treadmills and dumbbells this month, users most often searched for stationary bikes and elliptical trainers – in February, these phrases were entered into the OLX search engine over 1,700 times.
