We publish the content of the Pope’s greetings:
“I cordially greet Poles. For over three hundred years, during Lent, by singing Gorzkie Żale (Lenten Lamentations), you have contemplated the Passion of Jesus and the sorrows of His Mother. I encourage you to participate in these devotions. May prayer be accompanied by concrete acts of love: help, reconciliation, and building peace, especially in your families and in the community of the Church. I bless you all.”
Among the Poles participating in the general audience in St. Peter’s Square were: members of the Koe chamber choir from the Sokołów Podlaski Cultural Center, pilgrims from the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łomża, pilgrims from Lasowice Wielkie, a group from St. Adalbert Parish in Kielce, pilgrims from the Płock diocese, and a group from St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Parish in Drobin.
