Show your Polish pride & come join us!

March 30, 2010

Are you proud to be Polish? So what are you waiting for? Pick up the phone and order tickets or an ad to the Kosciuszko Foundation’s 75th Diamond Jubilee Ball - April 24th at the Waldorf.

Dear Friends,

Over the past 85 years, the Kosciuszko Foundation has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships to Poles and Polish Americans, and worked hard to promote Polish culture and arts in the United States. This is only possible through the generosity of our benefactors and members of the Foundation like you.

While we invest in the education of these students, and in hosting and supporting Polish events, we must raise funds to keep these programs going. That is why I urge you to attend this year’s 75th Annual Kosciuszko Foundation Ball on April 24th.

In addition to dining and dancing the night away at the legendary the Waldorf-Astoria, you will have a chance to mingle with this year’s medal of recognition recipients: Nobel Peace Prize Winner Lech Walesa, pioneering surgeon Dr. Maria Siemionow, who performed the world’s first face transplant, and the brilliant artist Rafal Olbinski whose paintings are famous worldwide.

This year's recipients of the Kosciuszko Foundation's Medal of Recognition include Nobel Peace Prize Winner & former Polish President Lech Walesa. Dr. Maria Siemionow is a world renowned scientist and microsurgeon who in 2008 performed the world's first face transplant. Rafal Olbinski's works set the art world on fire decades ago and his brilliant paintings are famous the world over. One of his masterpieces is on this year's ball invitation, seen below.

And please help support the Foundation by taking out an advertisement or notice of congratulations in the ball journal acknowledging year’s ball Chairpersons Mr. Joseph E. Gore, Esq. and Mrs. Eugenia F. Gore, or this year’s honorees, the Kosciuszko Foundation’s Chapter Presidents: Mr. John Bartus (Pittsburgh Chapter), Prof. Jan Bialasiewicz (Rocky Mountain Chapter), Professor Lidia Filus (Chicago Chapter), Mr. Christopher Golinski (Western NY Chapter), Mrs. Mary Kay Pieski (Ohio Chapter), Professor Waldemar Priebe (Texas Chapter), Mrs. Carolyn Czaja Topor (New England Chapter), Ms. Teresa Wojcik, Ph.D. (Philadelphia Chapter) and Mr. Andre Zlotnicki, Chair of the Kosciuszko Foundation’s National Advisory Committee.

These advertisements and notices of congratulations are due April 7th, so please call now 212 734 2130, or e-mail the information to Dorothea at dbs5@aol.com
