Pulaski Day Parade in New York 2018 - pictures

81th Annual Pulaski Day Parade New York City’s Fifth Avenue will close Sunday, October 07th, 2018, from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM as Polish-Americans join together in honor of Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski, hero of the American Revolutionary War who died at the battle of Savannah Georgia in October, 1779. The parade will step off from Fifth Avenue at 35th Street at 12:30 PM with the Honor Guard of the New York City Police and Fire Departments leading the way up 5th Avenue to 56th Street.

President Richard D. Zawisny is extremely happy to announce that Bishop Witold Mroziewski will be the main celebrant of the 9:00 AM Liturgy at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fifth Avenue, New York on October 07th, 2018. The Most Reverend Kurt Burnette, D.D. J.D. Ph.D., J.C.L Bishop of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic will be concelebrating the Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The theme of the 81th Pulaski Day Parade in New York City is "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Rebirth of the Polish Nation". Poland was able to be reborn due to the efforts of various individuals and the Polish People who came forward following World War 1. Individuals such as pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Marshal Jozef Pilsudski, Roman Dmowski and United States of America President Woodrow Wilson along with thousands of many others worked tirelessly for the rebirth of the Polish Nation after having the partitioning powers of Tsarist Russia, The Austro Hungarian Empire and Prussia who occupied Polish territories for 123 years were defeated.

Honorable Thomas J. Duch, Esquire City Manager of the City Garfield, NJ is the 2018 Grand Marshal of the Quad-state Pulaski Parade and he will lead the contingents of New Jersey, New York State, Connecticut and surrounding areas up Fifth Avenue. He invites all to attend the Parade and all of the events in honor of the Polish born Hero American Revolutionary General.

President Richard D. Zawisny announced Bishop Witold Mroziewski will also be an Honorary Marshal in the Pulaski Parade.

A breakfast will follow the 9:00 AM Mass Liturgy on Oct 07th, 2018 at the 3 West Club on 51st Street.
