Polish American Congress to present awards Citizens recognized in

October 10, 2007

The Polish American Congress Illinois Division will honor individuals that have distinguished themselves by their service to the Polish American community at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the 38th Annual Polish Heritage Award Gala to be held at the Wyndham O’Hare Hotel, 6810 N. Mannheim Rd.

Among the awards to be given will be the 2007 Heritage Award.

This year, Professor Julian E. Kulski, a World War II hero and world renowned architect will be presented with this prestigious award. Chicago Tribune columnist Mr. John Kass will be presented this year’s Media Award for his outstanding journalism.

The Community Service Award will be presented to radio personality Margaret Kiesz. Margaret is a breast cancer survivor and has been
active in providing strength to women that are currently enduring the battle against breast cancer. Finally, the President’s Award, which honors members who have distinguished themselves by their service to the Polish American Congress Illinois Division, shall be presented to Mr. Joseph Sikora. Mr. Sikora was the past I st Vice President of the Polish American Congress Illinois Division.

Mr. Charles Komosa, grandson of Charles Rozmarek, co-founder and PAC National President from 1944-1968, will serve as Master of Ceremony.
