Father Andrzej Wojciech Klocek - 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood

On Sunday, June 22nd, Father Andrzej Wojciech Klocek, pastor of St. Josaphat’ s parish, Bayside celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving - Silver Jubilee - on the occasion of 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. During the Mass Father Andrzej was accompanied by Rev. James J. Meszaros.

Father Andrzej Klocek was born in Wloclawek, Poland in 1965. He studied in Major Seminary in his city and was ordained in 1989. He continued theological studies at Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), receiving a Doctorate degree, two Licentiates, and two Masters degrees. Father Andrzej also graduated at KUL as a musician, studied the history and theory of music, play piano and organ. He also received Doctorate at Sociology University of Lodz.

Father Klocek was working in Poland for major Seminary in Lowicz and for the Franciscan College in Lagiewniki. Than he came to USA and since 2004 Father Andrzej was working in the Diocese of Brooklyn, in three parishes: St. Margaret, Middle Village; St. Joseph, Astoria; and St. Pancras, Glendale.

Since 2011 Father Klocek is working at St. Josaphat, first as administrator and since 2013 as a pastor.

Parish of St. Josaphat was established by Polish emigrants in 1910 and in 2010 was celebrating 100th Anniversary. Till this time there is a Polish Mass in every Sunday at 8.30 AM.
