A cross-cultural opportunity for American teachers and students in Poland - Summer 2014

The Kosciuszko Foundation, an American center for Polish culture invites American teachers of all subject areas in public, private and parochial schools and in colleges/universities to apply for participation in a unique three or four-week summer English language and cultural exchange program in Poland. American college, university and high school students who will be at least 18 at the time of departure for Poland may apply as teaching assistants.

THE TEACHING ENGLISH IN POLAND PROGRAM (TEIP) is sponsored by the Kosciuszko Foundation in conjunction with the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and Polish Local Educational and Civic Administrations, will provide approximately three hundred Polish students with a two different learning options. The TEIP Program is in its twenty-fourth year and enables American teachers and American students to become acquainted with the people, history, and culture of Poland. The TEIP Program provides several opportunities for teachers and teaching assistants to volunteer as cultural representatives and to build relationships through educational experiences. There are two basic curricula for TEIP: the English Language/American Culture Camp and the Arts Enriched English Language Camp. The English Language/American Culture Camp provides upper elementary Polish students with two weeks of instruction and practice in conversational English within an American cultural context. The Arts Enriched English Language Camp presents two rare opportunities for Polish students (upper elementary through high school) to experience a curriculum focused on the arts: visual, auditory, performance and literary with classes conducted in the English language. Polish students have their choice of enrolling in a two-week or a three-week version of the Arts Enriched English Language Camp.
