Pop Star Kayah to Perform at Kosciuszko Foundation Ball in New York, Legendary Actor Jerzy Stuhr & Special Guests to Attend

March 21, 2013

The Kosciuszko Foundation Annual Dinner & Ball on Sat. April 27th will feature a performance by superstar Kayah and appearances by celebrities such as legendary actor Jerzy Stuhr and Pawel Szajda, actor in films like "Under the Tuscan Sun" & TV series such as "Blue Bloods." There will also be a tribute to cosmetics genius Wojtek Inglot, who passed away on Feb. 23.

The Ball is a dazzling evening of dining, dancing and networking in the Grand Ballroom of New York's luxurious Waldorf-Astoria.  For 78 years, the Kosciuszko Foundation Ball has been the premier social event in the Polish-American community for professionals, scientists, artists, debutantes, diplomats and business leaders that gather each year.

The highlight of the evening is the debutante presentation and a stately Polonaise led by the Polish Folk Dance Company dressed in historic costumes. This year's Ball debutantes are: Caroline Novak of Long Meadow, MA, and Anastasia Ehlert of Kent, OH.

The Kosciuszko Foundation Medal of Recognition for Wojtek Inglot, who died Feb. 23, will be presented to Mr. Inglot's brother, Zbigniew Inglot who will now head Inglot Cosmetics.  Goody bags with Inglot products will be given to women who attend the Ball.

Wojtek Inglot epitomized the Polish phenomenon - a country that just two decades ago was occupied by the Soviet Union and in recent years has become the fastest growing economy in Europe. Unfortunately instead of celebrating with Wojtek, we will pay tribute to him and the success story that Poland has become.

So come celebrate with us, and dance to the Gerard Carelli Orchestra. Or, if you can not make it, please purchase raffle tickets. Prizes include a $7,000 necklace from Christopher's Designs, a $1,000 Tiffany's gift card, an Apple i-Pad mini, and other special prizes.

For tickets to the Ball, or to take ads in the Ball journal in honor of Wojtek Inglot, or to congratulate the debutantes, please call 212-734-2130.
