A short program celebrating the Polish Constitution of May 3, 1791 and its significance throughout the years. It consists of readings from the Constitution, poetry and music and popular songs of the times up to the present day.
After a short intermission we present Boguslawski/Stefani 's KRAKOWIACY I GORALE
An Assumed Miracle.
An 18th Century Polish opera buffo (premiered at the time of the Polish Constitution and performed through Kosciuszko's fight for
Poland's independence, the final partition of Poland and up to the present day. A Mozartian opera buffo, sung in Polish, narrated and with English dialogues and presented in a full production in sets and costumes.
