A calendar that guides you through the whole year
The heart of this MINI edition is a calendar valid from May to May. You will find Polish name days and holidays of various nationalities — Jewish, Chinese, American, and Polish — as well as public holidays celebrated in Poland. This is practical when planning a vacation, a trip to the country, or if you want to know when a day off work falls in Poland.
Among the older Polish diaspora, MINI has its loyal readers for a simple reason — each day has space for personal notes. A phone number, a doctor’s appointment, a granddaughter’s name day. The booklet fits in a purse or pocket and is always at hand for twelve months.
Coupons and discounts from Polish businesses
The second reason people reach for MINI is savings. The edition contains dozens of coupons and discounts from Polish businesses — from shops and restaurants to service providers. Simply cut out the card or show the page to take advantage of the discount.
Next to the coupons, inside you will find current listings and advertisements for Polish diaspora businesses. Looking for a Polish lawyer, dentist, or contractor? You have contact details in one place, without the need to search the internet.
Now also on your phone
Polonijna Książka (Polish Diaspora Book) now has its own app for iPhone and Android. It is currently in a test (beta) version, but the full, official version will be released next week. The app brings the directory of Polish businesses, news, and announcements directly to your phone screen.
Paper and app will work together. Older readers will stick with the convenient, pocket-sized booklet, while those accustomed to their phones will get the same directory in a digital version, available everywhere.
What’s next: summer edition and autumn book
After the spring edition, we are preparing the summer edition of MINI. In autumn, the large Polonijna Książka (Polish Diaspora Book) will be released, a comprehensive annual directory of Polish diaspora businesses.
“MINI is an edition that people truly keep with them all year round — that’s why businesses that advertise in it are visible every day,” says Ewelina Modrzejewska, editor of Poland.us and editor of WhitePages at Polish Pages.
Businesses that wish to be included in the summer edition can submit advertisements to the editorial office — preferably before the print deadline.
The spring MINI is still available. For a copy and regarding advertising in the summer edition, contact Polish Pages: tel. 212-929-6933, [email protected].
