The 3rd Kosciuszko Foundation Rocky Mountain Polish Film Festival runs November 12–15, 2026, at the Regal UA Denver Pavilions in Denver. The lineup includes six feature films and four shorts, among them two Golden Lions winners from Gdynia. Tickets are on sale.

The festival is organized by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Kosciuszko Foundation, and the Polish Club of Denver is inviting its members to attend. Now in its third year, the event brings the newest and most talked-about Polish films to Colorado audiences. This year one name stands out: director Piotr Domalewski is traveling from Poland to present two of his films in person.

Which films are showing in Denver?

Photosensitive (Światłoczuła, 2025), directed by Tadeusz Śliwa – a romantic drama about Agata, blind since childhood, and Robert, a celebrated photographer who has been pulling away from the world. Matylda Giegżno won Best Actress at the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (2025), and the film took the Audience Award at OFF CAMERA.

Gorky Resort (Pojedynek, 2026), directed by Łukasz Palkowski – a historical thriller set in 1939, in which a young Polish pianist held by the Soviets becomes the target of a determined agent. The cast includes Jakub Gierszał, Aidan Gillen, Anna Próchniak, Bogusław Linda and Tomasz Kot. The film was selected for the Main Competition of the 51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (2026).

Our Revolution (Nasza rewolucja, 2026), directed by Piotr Domalewski – the story of Jacek and Grażyna Kuroń, whose apartment became the “headquarters” of the opposition. Jacek Koman won the Gdynia award for Best Supporting Actor as Marek Edelman, and the film was nominated for the Golden Lions.

Altar Boys (Ministranci, 2025), directed by Piotr Domalewski – a group of teenage altar boys set out to fix the injustice they see around them, and their idealism leads them into risky territory. It won the Golden Lions at the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (2025), along with awards for screenplay, editing and the Audience Award.

Seasons (Sezony, 2024), directed by Michał Grzybowski – a comedy-drama about an acting couple whose marriage falls apart while they perform together in three very different productions. The cast includes Łukasz Simlat, Agnieszka Dulęba-Kasza, Andrzej Seweryn and Andrzej Grabowski.

Through the Wall (Przez ścianę, 2026), directed by Maciej Sobieszczański – based on the true story of Wiesława Pajdak and Jerzy Śmiechowski, two political prisoners of the Stalinist era who fall in love while tapping Morse code through the wall between their cells. It won the Golden Lions at the 51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (2026).

Four short films complete the program.
