June Specialties at Piast

We are delighted to announce that our famous campfire kielbasa is back by popular demand! This deeply aromatic, juicy grilling sausage has a unique, velvety buttery taste — perfect for a backyard barbecue or a real campfire under the open sky.

Our spiced ham is perhaps the best Polish sandwich meat you’ll find in America — with a soft texture and a distinctive taste that overseas is called “Polish Pork Roll”. A taste that will remind many Poles of home.

We also have a new item — homemade fruit crepes, filled with sweetened farmer’s cheese and preserves made from real Polish fruits. Be sure to try the unique flavors: blackcurrant, redcurrant, and gooseberry — tastes straight from a Polish grandma’s garden!

Finally — a promotion on imported Gouda from Poland, perfect for a summer sandwich.

Father’s Day the Polish Way — June 23rd

Did you know that Poles celebrate Father’s Day differently than Americans? While Mother’s Day has deep, centuries-old roots in Poland, Father’s Day is a much younger holiday — it was first officially celebrated in Poland in 1965.

And here’s an interesting fact for all Polonia: unlike America, where Father’s Day falls on the third Sunday of June (this year June 21st), Poland always celebrates on June 23rd. That’s why we, compatriots living overseas, can celebrate our dads twice — once the American way, once the Polish way!

On this day, children thank their fathers by giving them handmade cards, chocolates, or flowers. Families gather for a joint, festive meal or spend the evening together to honor dads and grandfathers.

And as we know — in a Polish home, dad often takes on the role of “Grill Master”, standing proudly by the grill with a cold Polish beer in hand. It’s a casual, family way to celebrate: good food, cold drinks, and priceless time together.

This year, honor dad the Polish way — with real kielbasa, traditional ham, and Polish flavors from Piast!
