A camp that transforms young Poles into ambassadors of Polish heritage
Nowodworski Foundation invites you to the Summer Camp “Living History Lesson 2026” – a unique educational program that combines a journey through Norway and Poland with language learning, history, and discovering one’s own talents. Date: June 26 – July 11, 2026.
Applications are accepted until March 15, 2026. Places are almost taken.
What makes this camp unique?
This is not an ordinary holiday trip. The camp program integrates several key areas of a young person’s development:
- History in action – participants personally visit battle sites, castles, and museums – in Norway, among others, the Museum of the Battle of Narvik 1940 with the participation of the Polish Podhale Brigade, fjords, and Oslo, and in Poland – Czorsztyn, Krakow, Łańcut, and Zubrzyca.
- Polish language in practice – journal writing, historical discussions, songs, skits, and language competitions. Learning Polish without stress, in a natural environment.
- Art and creativity – sketches from trips, workshops of various artistic techniques at the Open-Air Museum in Sidzina near Babia Góra, and finally – an artistic portfolio and participation in exhibitions in Poland and at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.
- Sport and fitness – Dunajec river rafting, hiking, outdoor activities.
- Friendships for life – shared experiences with peers from various US states create irreplaceable bonds.
Youth who complete this camp return to their schools as proud ambassadors of Polish heritage.
