Following the Mass, nearly 300 people joined Bishop Brennan in an outdoor procession, praying the Stations of the Cross in witness to the dignity of migrants. The mile-and-a-half procession began at St. Jerome’s, continued to St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and concluded at St. Vincent Ferrer.

Sixty crosses bearing the names of people being held in detention centers were carried by members of the procession. At each of the fourteen Stations of the Cross, Bishop Brennan offered different prayer intentions including for migrants who have suffered indignities and injustice, for parents and children who have been separated, for medical and social workers impacted by the expiration of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and for those being held in detention centers.
