Fr. Marek Weresa – Vatican City

The Holy Father called for the path of justice and peace to be chosen, appealed for the country’s sovereignty to be guaranteed, and for the rule of law principles contained in the constitution to be observed. He emphatically stressed the need to respect the human and civil rights of all citizens, and to jointly build a future based on cooperation, stability, and harmony.

The Pope expressed particular concern for the poorest, who are suffering due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country.

“I pray and invite everyone to pray,” said the Holy Father, entrusting Venezuela to the intercession of Our Lady of Coromoto, St. José Gregorio Hernández, and St. Sister Carmen Rendiles.
