“We must pray for peace. Let us always seek dialogue, not violence, to solve these problems,” the Holy Father emphasized in a brief statement to Tg2 television and other media present at the exit of Villa Barberini, his residence in Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope spent his usual weekly day of rest and work.

Referring precisely to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Leo XIV recalled in Castel Gandolfo what he had previously published on his X platform account @Pontifex: “Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, I would like to recall that the Church remains faithful to the firm stance of the Declaration #NostraAetate against all forms of antisemitism and rejects all discrimination and persecution based on ethnic origin, language, nationality, or religion.”
