The Run of Remembrance for the Cursed Soldiers will take place on March 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Forest Park, Queens. The event is a run and walk-run and is open to participants of all ages – both for those who run regularly and those who prefer a calmer pace. We invite entire families! After the run for adults and youth aged 13 and over, there will be a run for children aged 5–12 years over a shorter distance.

The symbolic distance of 1963 meters refers to the year of death of the last Cursed Soldier, Józef Franczak, pseudonym “Lalek”. The run is held under the honorary patronage of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Mateusz Sakowicz, and its goal is to honor the memory of the soldiers of the Polish anti-communist and anti-Soviet underground and to popularize historical knowledge among the Polish diaspora.

The Main Sponsor of the Run is the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union.
