Father Grzegorz said: “After the end of Lent, we gather for the Solemnity of the Lord’s Resurrection. There is great joy in our hearts because Christ lives and is among us. Together with Him, we are here in this community at the Easter table to share love, exchange wishes, and share the blessed egg, a sign of new life. Let us ask Christ, always present among those who love Him, to bless the food on our Easter table.”

After reciting the Litany of Thanksgiving and prayer, Father Grzegorz Markulak, CM, blessed the Easter foods and the gathered people.  Then we shared the blessed egg, which the parish priest offered to everyone, and began our meal.

On the table were sausages, kabanosy, salad, cakes, bundt cakes, and sweets. Then, together with the priest, we sang Easter songs such as “Victor of Death, Hell, and Satan,” “The Lord of Life Knows No Death,” “Wipe Away Your Tears, Weepers,” “A Joyful Day Has Come to Us Today,” as well as “The Boat” and “Black Madonna.” Stefan Orzech, a member of the Angelus choir, and Andrzej Pudełko played the accordions beautifully and with temperament. Once again, we thank Father Grzegorz Markulak, CM, for his hospitality.
