Pierogi Facts: The word “pierogi” itself is plural, with the rarely used singular form being “pieróg.”
These delightful dumplings are often served with toppings such as melted butter, sour cream, fried bacon, or saut’ed onions, enhancing their flavor. The popularity of pierogi is evident in events like the annual Pierogi Festival in Kraków, Poland, which serves over 30,000 pierogi daily, showcasing the enduring appeal of this iconic Polish dish.
