Tuesday, May 30, 8pm EDT. Polish virtuoso violinist MAGDALENA FILIPCZAK makes her Carnegie Hall debut in a program inspired by the phantasy motive, including Phantasies by Schubert, Wieniawski, and Schönberg. Filipczak showcases selections from her debut album Essence of Violin, including works by Lutosławski, Britten, and Saint-Saëns/Ysaÿe. Cherchant, composed by Stephen Coxe and dedicated to Magdalena Filipczak, will receive its world premiere.
