Polkas and Bread – a micro-festival experience of cultural fusion in Tucson, AZ

A micro-festival experience of cultural fusion Polkas & Bread is organized by Tucson Meet Yourself and The Whistle Stop Depot. Join us on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm at the Whistle Stop Depot, 127 W. 5th Street, Tucson, AZ.

In program:

  • Musical conversation between Polish Polka and Tohono O'odham Waila dancers and musicians
  • Food demonstrations and sampling of breads from around the world

Plus:

  • Educational talks
  • Dance instruction
  • Recipe-sharing
  • Exhibit of waila album covers and artifacts curated by Tohono O'odham Cultural Center and Museum
