Presentation by Ambassador Edward L. Rowny in Washington DC
March 14, 2014
You are cordially invited to attend a presentation by Ambassador Edward L. Rowny of his new book: Smokey Joe & the General.
General Rowny received the Kosciuszko Foundation's Pioneer Award in 2013. His book covers his 50 years of government service, 39 years as an office in the military and 11 years as a strategic arms negotiator.
During his military service he fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He later served as President Reagan's adviser on arms control and roving Ambassador and played a crucial role in Soviet nuclear negotiations.
This presentation will give an insider's view, rich with personal anecdotes, on how the Cold War was won without firing a shot.
Ambassador Rowny's presentation will be followed by a reception serving snacks, beer and wine.
There is no obligation for attendees to purchase a copy of Ambassador Rowny's book.
However, he will donate 20% of the purchase price ($34) of each book sold at the event to the Kosciuszko Foundation.
