Oktoberfest in a Polish banquet hall in New Jersey
Oktoberfest is one of the most famous beer and music festivals in the world — its roots trace back to Munich, but for years it has also been celebrated in the United States. This year, the Polish-American community of New Jersey and the greater New York area has its own edition: Cracovia Manor, a Polish banquet hall at 196 Main Ave in Wallington, is hosting an evening with a Bavarian atmosphere.
The combination is natural. Cracovia Manor is a venue well-known to the Polish-American community for weddings, banquets, and special events. This time, tables will be set up in the Oktoberfest style: chilled draft beer, traditional treats, and music for dancing.
Evening Program
The event is open to everyone — you don’t need to be from Bavaria to have a great time. The organizers warmly invite the Polish-American community and Poles from surrounding towns: it’s an opportunity to meet friends, make new acquaintances, and spend a Saturday evening in good company.
The program features music, food, and dancing (as stated on the poster: “Music • Food • Dance”). An additional attraction is the costume contest — traditional and Bavarian attire is very welcome. Anyone who comes in Lederhosen, a Dirndl, or another folk outfit will receive a Free Beer Ticket at the entrance. A cash bar with draft beer will be available on-site.
