The Power of Community – Heart and Tradition
We are incredibly proud of the work of our Parents, who once again showed that our school is more than just a place of learning – it is a community built on values, historical memory, and a spiritual connection with Poland. The floats prepared for this year’s parade delighted not only the jury but also all participants, combining elements of Polish history, spirituality, and creativity. They contributed to winning the main trophy and created unforgettable emotions in the hearts of the viewers.
Polish Diaspora in the USA – A Bridge Between Generations
Over 9 million people of Polish descent live in the United States, with the largest concentrations in Chicago – considered the “second capital of Polonia” – and in the New York and New Jersey areas. This is where dozens of Polish Saturday schools flourish, which not only teach the Polish language but also the history, religion, geography, and culture of Poland.

Why is Polish diaspora education so important?
In a world of rapid changes and globalization, preserving national identity becomes a challenge – and at the same time, an enormous value. Polish Saturday schools play a key role in building the identity of the younger generation. Thanks to them, children and youth not only learn to speak Polish but also:
- understand the historical context – learning about the history of partitions, uprisings, World War II, and “Solidarity”,
- shape patriotic attitudes – learning about national heroes and state symbols,
- learn about cultural heritage – from literature to customs and holidays,
- maintain intergenerational ties – connecting with grandparents and family in Poland through language and shared values.
Henryk Sienkiewicz Polish School – more than education
Our school is a place where education meets a mission – the mission of nurturing Polish identity, regardless of place of residence. Thanks to teachers, catechists, parents, and friends of the school, we create a vibrant and active community that celebrates culture, cultivates traditions, and raises successive generations in the spirit of love for the Homeland.
We thank everyone who contributed to this success. Together, we show that being Polish abroad is not just a heritage – it is a conscious choice and pride.
