Bishop Brennan will launch Catholic Schools Week in the Diocese of Brooklyn on Sunday

Bishop Robert J. Brennan, Bishop of Brooklyn, will lead a special Mass to mark the start of this year’s celebration of Catholic Schools Week on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 9 AM, at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, located at 409 Linden Street in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.
The students, faculty, and community of St. Brigid-St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Academy will attend the Mass. Following the Mass, Bishop Brennan will visit the academy for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the renovated Kindergarten classroom.
Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week has been annually on the last Sunday of January and is dedicated to highlighting Catholic education throughout the United States. This year's theme is: “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.” This year marks the 50th Anniversary of National Catholic Schools Week.
Bishop Brennan is scheduled to visit schools throughout Brooklyn and Queens to meet students and faculty and catch a glimpse of the incredible education offered in the Diocese daily.
