Nobel Peace Prize winner and former President of Poland Lech Walesa lobbied Congress, CNN, Fox News, and others this weekend asking for aid to repel the Russian invasion of Europe. He also met with the Kosciuszko Foundation (KF).

KF Chairman of the Board Alex Storozynski said, “As leader of the Solidarity movement Walesa pulled out the first brick that brought down the Berlin Wall and ended the Warsaw Pact, a phony alliance that Russia used to subjugate Eastern Europe. It was Walesa, who as President, signed a pact with Russian President Boris Yeltsin to withdraw Russian troops from Poland. Now, Putin has sent his army to reconquer free and independent nations of Europe.”

KF President Marek Skulimowski said, “The Kosciuszko Foundation looks forward to working with the Lech Walesa Institute to promote education and freedom for all. As Americans, it is in our Declaration of Independence that all people have a right to self-determination and the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
