Concert in the Memory of Saint Pope John Paul II in Manhattan this Sunday - Program

The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland has the honor of inviting you to "The 11th Annual Concert in the Memory of Saint Pope John Paul II. This concert is dedicated to 1,050 years of Christianity in Poland.

I beg you once again to accept the whole of the spiritual legacy which goes by the name of 'Poland,' with the faith, hope and charity that Christ poured into us at our holy Baptism. I beg you-never lose your trust, do not be defeated, do not be discouraged-do not on your own cut yourselves off from the roots from which we had our origins.

The United Choirs of the Polish Singers Alliance of America conducted by Janusz Sporek and KHORIKOS Choir conducted by Alec Galambos will present a program by Bogna McGarrigle, the Music Director and Organist at the Church of the Epiphany RC in New York.

  • Mikołaj Gomółka - Psalm 29 - "Ascribe unto the Lord of Light" (16th century)

  • Paweł Łukaszewski - Aria di Angelo from Resurrectio (2012)
  • Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki - Omni die dic Mariae (18th century)

  • Feliks Nowowiejski - Psalm 136 "Fatherland" (1902)
