Dr. Iwona Drąg Korga, Executive Director of the Pilsudski Institute of America, will talk about Poland's participation in the 1939 World's Fair in New York City.

She will present a description of the Polish Pavilion, art and history collection on display, special presentations prepared for the Fair, the opening gala, and the involvement of Polish diaspora in the United States - Polonia. She will also talk about Stefan Ropp, Commissioner General of the Polish Pavilion and his extraordinary life.

Iwona Drąg Korga, Ph.D
Executive Director of Pilsudski Institute of America, a nonprofit education center. She specializes in Polish -American relations during WWII, mainly propaganda and information policies. She received MA in History and PhD from Pedagogical University of Krakow, Poland in 2004. In 2008, she graduated with MLS from Queens College, New York. She contributes to newspapers and periodicals in Poland. Author of the book "Polska Walczy!" (2014). Member of Polish American Historical Association and Pilsudski Institute. She was awarded a scholarship from Kosciuszko Foundation in NY and Polonia Aid Foundation Trust in London.
