Robert Lewandowski makes History as Poland defeat Georgia in Matchday 6

Lewandowski scored the fastest hat trick ever in Euro Qualification in the dying moments against Georgia at home. Scoring goals in the 89th, 90th, and 92nd minute, the Polish striker also was able to top the scoring charts within the competition with seven goals overall. Another milestone for the Bayern Munich striker was overtaking the legendary Zbigniew Boniek, becoming the sixth highest goalscorer for the Polish national team’s history.
There were also highly impressive performances from the likes of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and fellow forward Arkadiusz Milik. It was a fantastic day for the Polish national team, as both fellow possible rivals in Ireland and Scotland tied with each other as well, further increasing their lead over both national teams. Poland now looks to be strong favorites for qualifying to the in France in 2016. They will look to further consolidate their position when they face Germany on September 4th.
