45. Dozynki - Polish Harvest Festival in Yorba Linda, CA

Here is your chance to win cash prizes and taste traditional Polish foods and experience Polish culture during the 45th Annual Dozynki Harvest Festival at the Pope John Paul II Polish Center on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, 2024.


Pope John Paul II Polish Center will be raffling off cash prizes of $5,000.00, $3,000.00 and $1,000.00 and many other prizes at this year’s harvest festival. The opportunity drawings for the cash prizes will be on September 22, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Winners need not be present. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each.


Food and music go hand-in-hand at a harvest celebration. The Dozynki will feature Polish folk dancers in traditional costumes, games for kids, and special concerts by the MEGITZA, a high energy band from Poland, and MIETEK SZCZESNIAK, a critically acclaimed singer, recording artist and established superstar in Poland. And famous Polish lacemakers from Koniakow, Poland is coming to the USA for the first time. At the festival, they will present their fashion collection and giant lace doily which holds the Guinness World Record title. The ladies from Koniakow were crocheting for Christian Dior, Elie Saab and Louis Vuitton. You also will have a chance to learn a unique, over 100 years old technique of crocheting called “heklowanie”.


Please come and enjoy delicious Polish food such as freshly prepared stuffed cabbage, traditional pierogi, authentic Polska kielbasa and Polish beer.
Dozynki is a celebration of thanksgiving after a bountiful harvest that dates back to 16th century Poland. It remains a long-standing tradition in Polish communities throughout the world, including the United States and Canada.


The festival will be held on Saturday, September 21, from noon to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
