Performances will be hosted at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Michigan Science Center, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Historical Museum, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and the Detroit Public Library. These venues will open their doors to the public free of charge during this Cultural Center-wide holiday open house. Some of the other activities include horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping and family hands-on craft activities.

Some of the entertainers include music, theatre, and dance groups, and performances by Madeleine Peyroux, Bronze Radio Return, The Diving Bell, Imani Winds, Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys and Thornetta Davis. There will be a Polish Holiday customs celebrated at the International Institute (Kerby Ave). Another great attraction just added to the Noel Night schedule to take place at the Hopcat Brewery-Detroit will be a performance by The Infatuations at 10:00 p.m.

The Detroit Artists Market will be open located at 4719 Woodward Ave. Every year at this time the Detroit Artist Market transforms into an art-filled gift market and gallery. The wide range of original art includes paintings, jewelry, metal, photography, cards, glass, ceramics and fibers. Over 140 local artists are represented.
