Michal Wroblewski Trio with album: "City Album" in New York

Polish jazz pianist and composer Michal Wroblewski promoting his trio's newest at Drom

Michał Wróblewski - jazz pianist, composer from Poland. Graduated from Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice - composition and arrangement, and piano specializations. Awarded with the prestigious “Polish Jazz Oscar” at GRAND PRIX JAZZ MELOMANI 2014. He is a Transatlantyk - Instant Composition Contest twice laureate and prize winner (2013 and 2014), Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition 2012 finalist, Jazz Juniors Grand Prix 2010 winner. Performed at many festivals, for ex.: Jazz Juniors Festival, Jazz Fest Berlin, Prague International Jazz Festival, International Jazz Pianist Festival in Kalisz, Jazz nad Odrą Festival, Jazz Jantar Festival,  JazzArt Festival, Palm Jazz Festival, Pomeranian Jazz Fall Festival, Jazz at Guido, JAZ Festival Zabrze, Transatlantyk International Film And Music Festival, Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition, Ars Cameralis Festival, and many more.

 
He had a chance to work with: Terence Blanchard, NOSPR (Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice), "Amadeus" Orchestra cond. by Agnieszka Duczmal, Dana Hawkins, Francesco Angiuli, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Michał Miśkiewicz, Maciej Obara and many more. His albums "I remember" and "Jazz and Orchestra"- an hour long suite for jazz quartet and symphony orchestra were successful in Poland and Japan.  “Jazz and Orchestra” album was chosen to be “jazz album of the year” by  Polish Radio Trójka and was also distributed in “Jazz Forum” Magazine in October 2013.
Newest album of his trio "City Album" released by Gats Production Ltd (Japan) had its premiere on August 25 2014 in Japan and September 13 in Polish good music stores. Polish Radio Trójka and Adam Mickiewicz Institute are media patron of this record. Wróblewski’s trio is planning concerts to promote this new title this Winter in Poland, Europe and New York (Jan 2015).
