On January 29th, 2019, the United States as the first country in the world officially recognized independent Poland. The diplomatic relations were established by US President Woodrow Wilson and Polish Prime Minister Ignacy Jan Paderewski. 

To celebrate 100 Years of Polish-American Diplomatic Relations the Kosciuszko Foundation in Washington, D.C. will honor:

Polish Ambassador to the United States: PIOTR WILCZEK

American Ambassador to Poland: GEORGETTE MOSBACHER

 

As well as eight former American Ambassadors to Poland:

Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation promotes closer ties between Poland and the United States through educational, scientific and cultural exchanges. It awards up to $1 million annually in fellowships and grants to graduate students, scholars, scientists, professionals, and artists, and promotes Polish culture in America. The Foundation has awarded scholarships and provided a forum to Poles who have changed history.
