American Polish Advisory Council Unveils New Webpage

Darek Barcikowski     12 sierpnia, 2015

The American Polish Advisory Council, a Washington, D.C. based bipartisan, non-profit organization which works to represent political interests of the Polish American community has unveiled its new webpage at www.americanpolishadvisorycouncil.org

The new website embodies cutting edge technology to connect with and engage users and deliver information in an easy to navigate format that is optimized for smart phone and tablet access. Users will find information on past and upcoming events such as the 2015 annual conference which takes place in Washington, D.C. on October 10th of this year as well as issues being undertaken by the organization such as Poland’s inclusion in the Visa Waiver Program.

“The new website is part of our strategy to position and grow our organization but also to support our mission of strengthening the political voice and influence of Polish Americans,” said Darek Barcikowski, Executive Director of the American Polish Advisory Council. “The new site and its integration with social media will also help us reach the next generation of Polish American leaders and community activists and this is key not only for APAC but for any organization,” added Barcikowski.

“We are excited about the timing of this much anticipated launch,” said APAC’s President, General Edward Rowny, pointing out that the launch coincides with the opening of registration for the 2015 American Polish Advisory Council Annual Conference. “We are also in the midst of a tremendous undertaking to build support for the US Visa Waiver for Poland, an effort that we need the entire community to join. The new webpage enables users to do just that: to get updated on the issue and to get engaged,” added General Rowny.

Much of APAC’s work on the Visa Waiver issue involves lobbying on behalf of recently introduced legislation on Capitol Hill. “The new website is also a part of building our image and quite frankly, creating a positive first impression,” said Agnes Marczak, APAC’s Political Director who leads the organization’s legislative efforts. “We are meeting with dozens of staffers and legislative aids as well as legislators and I am sure the first thing they do is look us up to see what we are about. I am proud of the work that went into creating the new website and am sure it will be well received by anyone who is interested in learning more about APAC.”
