Dear Friends,

This year we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Kosciuszko Foundation.  We can be proud of nine decades of its influential role on the international scene, through its academic and cultural events and projects, including the online Polish-English dictionary that will appear as an app by Kosciuszko's name day in October, and of course through the achievements of its grantees.  2015 also marks the 80th Annual Dinner and Ball and the presentation to society of yet another group of talented and beautiful Debutantes, 70 years of residence in our stately Kosciuszko House, and 45 years since the founding of the renowned Pro Arte League and of our Summer Sessions in Poland.

We're going to give everyone an opportunity to party, dance, and network on Saturday, April 25th, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel's Grand Ballroom. The Spouse of the President of the Republic of Poland Mrs. Anna Komorowska is this year's Honorary Chairwoman, while Mrs. Christine Kuskowski and Dr. Mary Kay Pieski are Chairwomen of the Ball.  We will honor: Mr. Juliusz Machulski, one of Poland's best-known directors; Mrs. Wanda Senko, long-time Polonia activist; Mr. Sigmund Rolat, Holocaust survivor who has built bridges of reconciliation between Poles and Jews; and Dr. Zbigniew Darzynkiewicz, Director of the Brander Cancer Research Institute at the New York Medical College and spiritus movens of the Kosciuszko Foundation's Collegium of Eminent Scientists of Polish Origin and Ancestry. Surprise guests will enliven the festivities. Proceeds will go toward conserving the Foundation's magnificent collection of Polish artworkand refurbishing the Kosciuszko House.

Please join us at the Waldorf Astoria in New York on Saturday, April 25th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $275 before April 1 and $300 thereafter, and students with valid ID can attend for $200. We encourage you to sponsor a table with friends; if you do so, your name will appear in the Ball journal. We also have $100 dance tickets that do not include dinner but do include an open bar, for young people ages 21 to 30 who want to hit the dance floor after 10 p.m.

We encourage supporters to purchase Ball tickets, raffle tickets, or place an advertisement in the commemorative Ball journal. Please call (212) 734-2130, or visit www.thekf.org. I hope to see you at the Ball!

Sincerely,

Dr. John S. Micgiel
