First Global Competition in Washington with Team Poland

13 lipca, 2017

FIRST Global is an annual international robotics challenge to ignite a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among the more than two billion youths across the world.

We invite everyone to cheer on Team Poland at FIRST Global Competition this Sunday in Washington, DC!

Let's Welcome Team Poland to Washington, D.C.! There are six Polish students and their adult mentor coming to D.C. to participate in the inaugural International Robot Olympics. These students have spent the last few months learning about programming and engineering with the goal of building a robot that will compete in the FIRST Global Challenge 2017. Over 160 nations, each sending one team, will be participating this year, and we are very excited to have Poland in attendance.

We want to make this a special event for Team Poland, and that starts with getting the community involved. We invite you to attend our opening ceremony on July 16 to come out and cheer them on! The team will take the stage during the opening procession proudly waving the Polish flag, and it would be incredible for these kids to see a crowd of Polish-Americans waving a flag back at them.

Bring the family, make signs, and above all be ready to cheer on Team Poland. Please RSVP here so we can get a general sense of numbers, but of course, day-of arrivals are welcome as well. We hope to see you there!
