"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" for President of Poland and Barack Obama

19 maja, 2015

Bronisław Komorowski, in a meeting with the developers of the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, received a copy of the latest game in the series and another to pass on to the President of the United States.

“Successful Polish entrepreneurs are the best ambassadors for Poland and the Polish people,” the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski, stressed on Tuesday, the day of the launch of the third iteration of the popular Polish video game series, "The Witcher."

“It's a good opportunity to say that you can be successful in Poland, without needing any large amount of capital, through the use of intellectual capabilities and creativity,” said the President.

“For me, it is critical that Polish entrepreneurs are the best ambassadors for Poland, which has garnered an increasingly attractive public perception,” stressed Bronislaw Komorowski.

He argued that, thanks to courage and persistence, anyone can overcome the problems that still remain in Poland.

The President received a copy of the latest game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” and received a second copy to submit it to the President of the United States, Barack Obama.

“Now I know what I'll be doing during and after the election,” Komorowski joked.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is the next installment of the video game series developed by Polish developer CD Projekt RED, based on the popular fantasy books by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The President pointed out that the creators of the game and other similar companies find value in and thrive on laws that support creativity. “Intellectual property law is treated as financial capital utilized by these companies. Often, it is even more important than money,” he said.

The meeting was attended by the minister Olgierd Dziekonski.
