“Stagecoach” Country Music Awards in Poland

On May 25 at the OKO Auditorium in Ochota, Warsaw, Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher and the Embassy’s Cultural Affairs Officer Dan Hastings were guests of honor at the 19th edition of Dyliżanse (“Stagecoach”), Poland’s Country & Western Music Awards sponsored by the Country & Folk Foundation.  This was the first time that a U.S. Ambassador participated in the awards ceremony where Poland’s finest country & western performing musicians were recognized for their crowning artistic achievements in 2018.  Modeled on America’s own Country Music Awards (the CMAs), the Dyliżanse showcased amazing talent and artistry in the country & western music genre, with artists performing in both the Polish and English languages.
