Marcin Gortat Camp Basketball Clinic in the United States!

Over 50 children from the Washington, DC area had the unique opportunity to “polish” their basketball skills under the watchful eye of Washington Wizards’ Starting Center Marcin Gortat.
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland was proud to co-organize the first ever Marcin Gortat Camp Basketball Clinic in the United States!
Marcin was joined by his teammates, Otto Porter and Tomáš Satoranský, as well as coaching staff from the Washington Wizards and the Fundacja Marcina Gortata MG13. The children, ages 9-13, took part in different basketball drills which concluded in a friendly scrimmage. Afterwards Marcin Gortat shared insights on how to accomplish one’s dreams, and tested the children’s basketball knowledge, rewarding correct answers with cool Wizards gear.
The camp was also attended by a group of Polish children - MVPs from this summer’s Gortat Camps held in Poland - who were invited by Marcin to Washington, DC.
This event was organized by Marcin Gortat’s MG13 Foundation, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Cultural Institute New York. The event was held as part of the 2016 Euro Kids Festival, an annual festival organized by the European Union in the United States Delegation in partnership with the Washington, DC Embassies of the 28 EU Member States.
