Coming to the Consulate, young Poles and Americans of Polish descent represented various student clubs at local universities and colleges. Others hailed form junior boards of Polish American community organizations.
Consul General Piotr Janicki invited leaders in clubs and organizations to speak on behalf of their entities on issues ranging from opportunities for young Polish Americans through membership of community organizations and pro-Polish advocacy to raising the subject how young leaders and professionals of Polish ancestry can unite in contributing to a new Polonia with a political voice to be reckoned with.
Young Poles and Polish Americans also had a chance to network and enjoy the Christmas-time by singing Polish carols and savor traditional Polish Christmas dishes. For all attendees the Consulate prepared a special quiz about Poland.
The meeting attracted about a hundred Polish university students and young professionals united around being Polish in America.
